Mock Draft 2017!

Order Team Player Analysis

1

Browns

Myles Garrett (DE)

In most Drafts Garrett would not be the #1 overall pick. If there was a QB worthy the Browns would go in that direction.

2

49ers

Leonard Fournette (RB)

The 49ers really want to trade down and accumulate picks. After not getting a deal done they surprise by taking Leonard Fournette as they view him a once in a generational type player.

3

Bears

Jamal Adams (S)

Its going to be a secondary player for the bears unless Garrett somehow falls to them. Adams narrowly beats out Malik Hooker.

4

Jaguars

Solomon Thomas (DE)

With Fournette off the Board the Jags go best player available and take Thomas to add to what is becoming a stout D-line.

5

Titans

Marshon Lattimore (CB)

Titans need help in the secondary. The ultra athletic Lattimore is a great piece to add.

6

Jets

Mitch Trubisky (QB)

Trubisky figures to be the first QB off the board and the jets hope he is finally the answer their problems under center.

7

Chargers

Malik Hooker (S)

Awesome scenario for the chargers as they get the ball hawk safety they are missing.

8

Panthers

Derek Barnett (DE)

No OT’s are worth this pick so they take an Edge rusher who was extremely productive at Tennessee.

9

Bengals

Reuben Foster (ILB)

Diluted sample or not Foster just scream Bengals. They are getting one heck of a player.

10

Browns(T)

Deshaun Watson (QB)

The brown move up to take Watson and hope he is finally the solution.

11

Cardinals (T)

Mike Williams (WR)

The Cards move up slightly to take the WR who will eventually replace Larry Fitz.

12

Bills(T)

Ryan Ramczyk (OT)

The one year stud from Wisconsin seems like a Buffalo type player. He can slide into left or right tackle.

13

Saints(T)

Marlon Humphrey (CB)

After failing to trade for Malcom Butler the Saints draft the physical corner from Bama.

14

Eagles

John Ross (WR)

Ross and his home run threat nudge out Corey Davis and give Carson Wentz a fun new toy.

15

Colts

Jonathan Allen (DE)

Some teams are concerned with health issues. I believe if he falls this far it will be the steal of the draft.

16

Broncos (T)

Christian McCaffrey (RB)

He could go higher than this. However, this is a great situation for him and opens up the playbook for this offense.

17

Redskins

Takkarist McKinley (DE)

With help needed on the rush, McKinley bring his explosive play to the capitol.

18

Titans

Corey Davis (WR)

Tennessee gets the most athletic corner and WR without having to move up. What a draft!

19

Buccaneers

O.J. Howard (TE)

Winston gets another weapon in what will be a high scoring offense.

20

Ravens (T)

Jabrill Peppers (S)

Harbaugh to Harbaugh connection allows an easy transition and helps to overlook the diluted sample.

21

Lions

Haason Reddick (OLB)

The Lions need help at the linebacker position. Reddick can play any of the three positions.

22

Dolphins

David Njoku (TE)

Miami to Miami for Njoku who will give Tannehill his best chance of succeeding this season.

23

Giants

Garrett Bolles (OT)

Best tackle in the draft goes a bit later due to his age(25).

24

Raiders

Dalvin Cook (RB)

On and off field issues plus just average workout are concerning. However, he is a stud and will thrive next to Derek Carr.

25

Texans

Patrick Mahomes (QB)

I believe this is way to high for Mahomes but Houston needs a QB and the ultra-athletic strong armed kid doesn’t need to do much with a great defense.

26

Seahawks

Obi Melifonwu (S)

Its either trade back with a QB needy team or depth in the secondary. I think they will try him at corner.

27

Packers (T)

Quincy Wilson

Its no secret Green Bay needs help at any spot in the secondary. Green Bay moves up a few to select their guy.

28

Cowboys

Taco Charlton (DE)

More consistent pass rush will help the cowboys stay atop the NFC East.

29

Chiefs (T)

Gareon Conley (CB)

Help a crossed from Marcus Peters. A very strong 1-2 tandem at corner for the chiefs who seem confortable picking players with red flags.

30

Steelers

Budda Baker (S)

Plays with the same passion and hair on fire as a former all pro Steelers Safety.

31

Falcons

Charles Harris (DE)

Imagine if Atlanta had more pass rush in the second half of the Super Bowl.

32

Saints

TJ Watt (DE)

More help on the defensive side of the ball for the saints is never a bad thing.

Mock Draft 2016!

Order Team Player Analysis
1 Rams(T) Jared Goff (QB) The Rams made a gigantic move trading all those picks away for the right to select a QB of the future. Goff makes the most sense as he is more pro ready. A California kid stays in California and helps the rams sell the new franchise.
2 Eagles(T) Carson Wentz (QB) I’m not sure what the eagles front office is thinking with this trade after they just paid Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel. You don’t make this move and select a postion player. They must be comforatbale with whichever QB the Rams don’t pick.
3 Chargers Laremy Tunsil (OL) San Diego is a big winner of the Rams trade in that they can now take the best non QB player. Tunsil is too good to pass up and a much needed blind side protector for Phillip Rivers.
4 Cowboys Joey Bosa (DE) Dallas needs pass rush. They are thankfully letting Greg Hardy sign elsewhere but need Bosa to replace his sack production.
5 Jaguars Jalen Ramsey (CB) Tough decision here between Ramsey and Miles Jack. However, the fact that the ballhawking DB isnt coming off of a knee injury makes him the smarter pick.
6 Ravens Deforest Buckner (DE) Wheter its playing inside or out Buckner is a big bodied physical defender in a smashmouth division. Could be the next Justin Tuck.
7 49ers Paxton Lynch (QB) Huge reach on Lynch but quarterbacks always go higher than we expect and Chip Kelly will want a new QB to groom.
8 Browns(T) Myles Jack (OLB) Jack could easily have gone in the top 3-5, however worries over his knee cause a small drop. The Browns may easily trade out of this pick.
9 Buccaneers Vernon Hargreaves (CB) The Buccaneers are getting younger and more athletic in the defensive backfield plus defending a guy named Julio Jones is kind of important.
10 Giants Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Elliot would fare well not only in the Giants Backfield but in the bright lights of New York.
11 Bears Leonard Floyd (OLB) Lloyd has a tremendous celing if he puts on some weight. Potential all pro in the right system.
12 Saints Sheldon Rankins (DL) The Saints defense needs major upgrades at pretty much every level. Starting in the trenches is a good place to start.
13 Dolphins Eli Apple (CB) Miami needs help in the secondary and Apple is the kind of talent to be an all pro down the road.
14 Raiders Darron Lee (OLB) Adding Lee to an already imporved defense gives the raiders potentially the fastest linebacking core in the league.
15 Titans(T) Ronnie Stanley (OL) What a great trade for Tennessee. They trade all the way back to 15 and still end up with a blind side protector for Marcus mariota.
16 Lions Laquon Treadwell (WR) Losing Megatron wont hurt as bad with the addition of Treadwell. This pick maximizes the productivity of Matt Stafford and Golde Tate.
17 Falcons Will Fuller (WR) How tough will it be to defend the Falcons aeiral attach with the super speedy Fuller accoss from Julio Jones.
18 Colts Jack Conklin (OL) As Andrew Luck goes so do the colts. Keeping him upright and well as adding a road grader for the run game is smart business for this franchise.
19 Bills Robert Nkemdiche (DL) Doesn’t it just seem fitting picturing Nkenmdiche in a bills uniform with Rex Ryan as his coach?
20 Jets William Jackson III (CB) Potential long term replacement for Darrell Revis and a plug and play guy with great ball skills.
21 Redskins Ryan Kelly (OL) Somewhat of a reach for the skins but a smart play in Kelly who anchored the Champion Tide this last season.
22 Texans Karl Joseph (S) The Texans have some other needs but go with a playmaking safety in a interesting move.
23 Vikings Michael Thomas (WR) Another weapon for Teddy Bridgewater in the hope the offense become less one dementional.
24 Bengals Josh Doctson (WR) Andy Dalton will feel slightly better after this pick. He now has a another option opposite of A.J. Green.
25 Steelers Reggie Ragland (ILB) Ragland fits the mold of a steelers defender. Maybe not their top need but the best player available and will be solid additon for years to come.
26 Seahawks Jarran Reed (DT) When seattle has been great is when the D-line creates a pass rush. This pick helps solves that as well as the loss of Brandon Mebane. Could very easily see the Seahawsk trading back and out of the first round to gather more picks.
27 Packers Taylor Decker (OL) The health of the Packers O-line has really hurt them the last few season. Quaity depth is hugely important.
28 Chiefs Corey Coleman (WR) Coleman adds more explosiveness to the Chiefs passing attack.
29 Cardinals Shaq Lawson (DE) Even after adding Chandler Jones the Cardinals need more consistant pass rush. Lawson has a high ceiling.
30 Panthers Derrick Henry (RB) What a difficult matchup will this be defending Cam Newton and Derrick Henry down after down. Jonathan Stewart has also had issues staying healthy throughout his career.
31 Broncos A’Shawn Robinson (DT) The Broncos can pick the best player available. However, losing Malik Jackson will hurt less by adding Robinson to an already sturdy group.

Bold Prediction: Seahawks @ Panthers

The Seahawks went 10-6. The Panthers went 15-1.

The Seahawks lucked into a wild card win on a missed field goal chip shot. The Panthers sat at home and got rest.

The Seahawks don’t have the home field advantage they have enjoyed the last two Super Bowl seasons. The Panthers haven’t lost a game at home all year.

The Panthers actually went into Seattle and beat them once already this year.

The two teams have played each other 5 times in the last 4 seasons with 4 of those games being decided by 5 points or less. The only one that was’t was last years divisional round with a late pick-six my Kam Chancellor in a very close game.

Conventional wisdom tells you that the Panthers have proven themselves the better team all season long. It also tells you that even in defeat they have played Seattle incredibly tough no matter when or where the game has been played. Vegas has placed the Panthers as anywhere from a 2 to 3 point favorite with the eventual MVP and home field on their side. Every analyst you hear speaks to this matchup as a dog fight between two great defenses and lead by two emerging superstars at quarterback. This has the feeling as a game that will go down to the wire with one team needed a late drive to send them to the NFC Championship game. Based on how this year has gone this has to be the Panthers year with them prevailing late one again and finally sending the Seahawks home right?….. Wrong

Sports doesn’t follow conventional wisdom. It doesn’t care what happened last year, earlier this season, or even last week. This game isn’t played on paper by matching up personal and statistics to compute the final outcome. This Seahawks team has dealt with the most difficult circumstances any team can imagine. One yard away from another Super Bowl only for it to be snatched away my Malcom Butler. Their most important defensive player and leader sitting out the first few weeks of the season. And then there is Beast Mode. The heart and soul of the team and the player who gave them their hard-nosed identity has been  hurt for most of the year. All of these issues showed loud and clear as the team stubbled to a 2-4 start and fell too far back in the NFC West to contend. But these issues also brought this team closer, made them work a little bit harder, and resulted in others, mainly Russell Wilson, steeping up and the offense finally flying higher than ever before. This team steam rolled people down the stretch and will use what some are calling a second life after the Minnesota game to show the world that the NFC’s bully on the block are still alive. Sorry Panthers you will have to wait until next year.

Prediction: Seahawks 34 Panthers 17

2015 NBA Mock Draft Lottery Picks

1.Minnesota Karl-Anthony Town Towns is just the better fit in a smaller market. His defense and rim protection will be a huge additon to the Wolves.
2.Los Angeles Jahlil Okafor Jahlil Okafor did not want to go to Minnesota so he is the big winner even falling to the number two pick. He will be a star for the Lakers as his defense will come around.
3.Phlladelphia Emmaneal Mudiay It’s hard to know what Philly will do as many will be surprised by them taking Mudiay over Russell. Mudiay is more NBA ready and a better overall athlete.
4.New York D’Angelo Russell The Knicks are elated that Russell falls to them as he fits the triangle offense and gives them the scoring point guard combo they are seeking.
5.Orlando Kristaps Porzingis Orlando is slowly building something and Porzingis could be a gigantic piece to the puzzel. He has major risk/reward potential but can slowly be groomed in Orlando.
6.Sacramento Willie Cauley-Stein Bit of a reach for a guy with absolutly no offensive game. Then again he wont be getting many touches next to Cousins and is a major Defensive and rebouding presence.
7.Denver Myles Turner Denver has a long way to go and decides to take Turner passing up on many others who are more NBA ready. He has great potential that didn’t always show up at Texas.
8.Detroit Mario Hezonja Detroit gets their man in Hezonja. He screams bust pick to many and may take a while to acually contribute in the NBA.
9.Charlotte Frank Kaminsky Michael Jordan falls in love with a guy and he doesn’t waiver. Kaminsky should be a solid contributor but never a star in the league.
10.Miami Justice Winslow Winslow could go as high as five to Orlando but somehow falls to Miami at ten. He is a bit of a tweaner. However he has a huge motor and he is just a winner plain and simple.
11.Indiana Cameron Payne Indiana needs a point guard to pair with Paul George. Payne has star potential but is a bit of an unknown coming from Murray State.
12.Utah Stanley Johnson One of the best pure athletes in the draft Utah goes with the best available player as there starting five is already set. Johnson will be a great sixth man off the bench.
13.Phoenix Devin Booker With so many directions the Suns could go they too choose best available player and take the smooth shooting Booker.
14.Oklahoma City Sam Dekker Dekker had a heck of an NCAA tournament. The Thunder need depth and have had injury concerns. They hope Dekker can be a spark off the bench.

Mock Draft 2015!

Order Team Player Anaylsis

1

Tampa Bay Jameis Winston (QB) Tampa chooses the QB they feel is more NFL ready in Winston. What they really hope is his character concerns and off field issues are in the past.

2

Chargers via Trade with Tennessee Marcus Mariota (QB) Chargers make the decision to move on from Phillip rivers by sending him, their first round pick in 2015, and second rounder in 2016 to Tennessee for the second overall pick. They draft Mariota as a cheaper alternative with hopes of building around a the young QB.

3

Jacksonville Dante Fowler (DE/OLB) Gus Bradley is a defensive minded coach who sees Folwer as a puzzle piece he can move all around the field.

4

Oakland Leonard Williams (DT) Williams is a great addition to the Raiders defense. They hope his versatility can help bolster the D-line in Oakland for years to come. He has also expressed interest in playing for them so this is a perfect fit.

5

Washington Vic Beasley (DE/OLB) Washington follows with another versatile defender in sack artist Beasley.

6

New York (J) Amari Cooper (WR) Jets don’t have one of the QB’s available but they can at least give Geno Smith a chance to succeed by providing a spark on the outside in Cooper.

7

Chicago  Kevin White (WR) After Sending Brandon Marshall to the Jets in the offseason the Bears fill his place opposite Alson Jeffrey.

8

Dolphins via Trade with Atlanta Devante Parker (WR) Miami trades up in order to make sure they get one of the three best WR’s in the draft. Ryan Tanehill has talent but needs a playmaker like parker to help get him to the playoffs.

9

New York (G) Brandon Scherff (OT) The Solid OT from Iowa falls nicely to the Giants who fill a void and happen to get the best player still available on the board.

10

St. Louis Todd Gurley (RB) Surpirse pick of the draft so far. The rams opt for a RB instead of shoring up the O-line or adding a playmaker for newly acquired Nick Foles. Gurley is Steven Jackson 2.0.

11

Minnesota Trea Waynes (CB) The CB really helped out his stock at the combine and will immediately start in Minnesota. This is a division where elite tall cornerbacks are a must.

12

Cleveland Danny Shelton (NT) This is a perfect fit and finally a smart pick from the Browns. Shelton who many feel may have stamina concerns is a load upfront and greatly improves the browns D-line who have to go up agains three strong running teams in their division.

13

New Orleans Arik Armstead (DE) Saints surprise many by taking Armstead. However, this pick falls inline with their promise to improve the defense and become more athletic along the lines.

14

Atlanta via Trade with Miami Randy Gregory (DE/OLB) This draft could not have worked out better for Atlanta. They move back 6 spots and still have their pic between Gregory and Shane Ray. Gregory is a better option and the falcons need all the pass rush help they can get.

15

San Francisco Andrus Peat (OT) The niners draft Peat to bolster their O-line. He could start at either tackle positions as well as potentially move in to guard.

16

Houston Jalen Strong (WR) Most will feel this is a bit of a reach for Houston but it fills one of their needs after releasing Andre Johnson. Strong is a super productive target with a big catch radius. Now who is going to throw it to him?

17

Tennessee via Trade with SD Shane Ray (DE/OLB) The titans needs pass rush help and they attempt to fill that need with Ray. Ray is a strong athlete with family ties to the NFL and is a extremely hard worker.

18

Kansas City Dorial Green-Beckham (WR) Many will consider this a major reach and risk for the Chiefs. Time will tell but this is a massive need for them as no receiver caught a TD last season. Green-Beckham has great WR size and potential.

19

Cleveland La’el Collins (OT) Cleveland has a lot of holes to fill but protecting their QB, whoever it may be, is a good place to start.

20

Philadelphia Marcus Peters (CB) Everyone wants to know what Chip kelly will do. He goes back out to the Pacific Northwest for a CB but not from his previous school. Peters replaces carey williams and someone the Eagles bring in to cover Dez Bryant.

21

Cincinatti Malcom Brown (DT) This will be a great addition to the D-line for the Bengals. They couldn’t stop Le’veon Bell costing them a shot of winning the AFC North.

22

Pittsburgh Landon Collins (S) The first safety off the board goes to a team in desparate need of his help. Troy Polumalu and Ike Taylor retired so Pittsburgh needs to bring in new blood in the defensive backfield.

23

Detroit Eddie Goldman (DT) Losing Suh was softened but the addition of Haloti Ngata. However, he is not a long term replacement so adding Goldman is a smart pick up for the Lions.

24

Arizona Melvin Gordon (RB) Many thought Arizona wanted to trade for Adrian Peterson. This pick will be a much cheaper option and give AZ the home run threat they lack out of the backfield.

25

Carolina  Cameron  Erving (C) This may appear like an odd pick for Carolina with Ryan Kalil on the roster and so many other holes to fill. However, Erving can slide in at guard and will be the long term replacement down the road.

26

Baltimore Breshad Perriman (WR) Baltimore said they wouldn’t pannick at the WR postion after losing Torrey smith. This pick feels like they are more worried than they let on. Perriman could be a great talent down the road but more valued picks are still available on the board.

27

Dallas Byron Jones (CB) With the top two RB’s off the board, Dallas fell in love with Jones workouts at the combine. This is a postion of need so they will have to wait until Round for their new RB.

28

Denver D.J. Humphries (OT) This pick will give the O-line some additional depth and also provide Denver with a potential long term right or left tackle of the future.

29

Indianapolis Hau’Oli Kikaha (OLB) The colts just need more overall talent on the defensive side of the ball. Kikaha is an ultra productive linebacker who will also provide some pass rush help.

30

Green Bay Jake Fisher (OT) This is a luxury pick but also will help Green bay avoid some injury concerns at right tackle if Bryan Bulaga cant stay on the field.

31

New Orleans Devin Funchess (WR) Funchess is somewhat of a hybrid WR/TE. Sound Familiar? He has a huge catch radius and ability to go up and high point jump balls. He gives Drew Brees a red zone target and a new toy.

32

New England Kevin Johnson (CB) No Johnson is not Darrelle Revis but he doel fill a hole in the secondary and great size and speed for the position.
